Default is the EGR vacuum solenoid the same as the EGR valve? need clarification...(more)

Saw this description on one of the older threads when asking for the vacuum solenoid p/n:

EGR valve P/N 078 131 503 for AFC engine w/ MMS 411 (97 A6Q/A6).

I know the EGR valve is the one connected to the manifold by the TB(I just cleaned the port & changed the worned out shielded hose, CEL P0104). I am thinking that the vacuum solenoid(attached to the MAF housing) is the source of the vacuum line connected to the EGR valve. Am I mixed up or did I get the terms right? If so I think my vacuum solenoid is not working and need a p/n. Appreciate your feedback.

Default I agree. Wow, we are starting to get almost "a few" A6 5spds here, that's a pretty good ;-)...

Considering the numbers. Always nice to see more 5spds, it's a shame there aren't more in the A6, or the C4 for that matter.
